Human Rights Month is highlighted, in the South African calendar, by Human Rights Day which takes place on 21 March each year.

 

The history of South Africa was reshaped by ordinary people who decided to forego convenience, belonging, love, and even their lives so that black people could get the right to live freely in their home.

 

We will come together as this community to remind ourselves of the importance of this memorial and to tighten our grip on the baton that has been handed over to us. 

 

We have an agenda to continue reshaping (South) Africa so that this freedom may be felt and enjoyed by more and more black people.
